Result Show: Tuesdays 11.30pm
No. of Episodes: 13 + Grand Final (26 Feb)
Programme Host: Quan Yifeng
Channel U presents a search for the nation’s next best programme host, with its upcoming most talked-about talent show, SuperHost! Join vivacious celebrity host Quan Yifeng in this reality based competition that looks set to uncover a whole new generation of intelligent, witty and humorous television personalities!
Premiering in the final quarter of this year on Tuesday November 22, 8.30pm, this weekly 1-hr programme will see 16 candidates battle their wits out for the coveted grand title. For the first time in any recent local talent search competition, the winner stands to walk away with a lucrative package that includes a cash prize of $50,000 on top of a 2-year MediaCorp contract!
THE COMPETITION BEGINS…
Registration and auditions will be held ‘live’ at Orchard Cineleisure and other outdoor venues starting Saturday October 8 where 150 hopefuls will move onto a second round of audition and 16 successful candidates will eventually make it onto the show to compete to be Singapore’s next TV sensation!
The 16 candidates (8 male and 8 female) will be divided into 2 teams. The teams will be led and given professional coaching by guest trainers which include veteran Taiwanese host Xu Nailin and one of MediaCorp’s most experienced and outstanding hosts, Guo Liang. The guest trainers will each take a team of candidates through training in various aspects of hosting such as language proficiency, ability to handle unexpected situations, thematic vox pops, dealing with difficult interviewees etc. After which, the candidates will be tested and graded not only on their eloquence but their ability to tackle tricky situations and different programme genres ‘live’ during the show each week!
Viewers will not only be able to see firsthand which candidates make the cut, they will also get to decide who goes home a winner! Phone lines will be open during the show for the public to vote and callers also get a chance to win attractive prizes! Based on a 50% Judges Score vs 50% Telepoll combination for elimination, results will be announced in a show on the very same evening at 11.30pm to determine which one of them gets eliminated each week and which candidates will move on to the next round.
AN ULTIMATE BATTLE FOR THE CROWN
Six finalists will face off in a 2-hour ‘live’ show during the Grand Final on February 26. The finalists will come before a panel of renowned overseas and local hosts to compete in several different stages before the finalist with the highest score (50% Judges Score vs 50% Telepoll) gets crowned as Singapore’s very first SuperHost!

Dear Old Friend,
Open your eyes and look at yourself.
Dig your ears and listen to yourself.
Reach within your heart and feel yourself.
You know the biggest problem about you? You always think that everyone else is at fault BUT you. You think everyone is misunderstanding you, misjudging you and what not. You think the whole world owes you a living. Fine, I am guilty of that myself too but at least I still recognise myself. At least my friends still know who I am. At least I have limits.
Pity I can't say the same about you.
Stop all this right now. It's for your own good. Look around you, don't you realise any changes? You really think EVERYONE is wrong, deluded and misunderstood about you? C'mon, how can everybody be wrong at the same time? You have changed. I won't deny that I've been speaking about you and I will also not hesitate to tell you that everyone agrees you have changed. As I have told you before, you must be really naive to think it's ALL about the project.
The project was only a catalyst. The real underlying problem is far bigger than that. Sadly, it's something that was always there. Just waiting to take off. Which it did.
I will not go on, this will be the last time I talk about this issue, I refuse to judge you further or stoop to your level again. And no, honey, I did not discredit your past. On the contrary, you did- the very moment you wrote that entry about me. In fact, I've been keeping in mind YOUR past, that's why my entries have been so much less acidic.
(I will not name names because I still bother to save you that lil bit of dignity and escape from public shame.)

Multicam and AudioPro is finally a matter of the past.
Multicam and AudioPro taught me precious lessons, some friends are worth keeping, some just aren't. It's funny how one could pretend to be your friend for say, over a year, and yet it only takes one project to show all the true colours. Either how, putting all arguments aside, I really am extremely relieved that it's all over now.
After much deliberation and an episode of PoweR Girls, I've decided to go back to events management this hols, realised I miss the glitz, adrenaline, rush hour and insane workload. Yes Ladies & Gentlemen, that's probably what sets me apart from some dreamers out there- I actually work and do something to achieve what I want. And no, I'm not that lucky.
What a relief..

I do try to see the good in people, simply because all of us are not perfect and that applies to me as well. If anything, I'm much more critical to myself than others.
Having said that, I also believe that everyone has a purpose in life, and for the first time ever, I felt that the only reason someone lived, was to make life difficult for everyone else.
The amount of emotional intelligence he possess is ludicruously low. In all honesty, yes, he has potential to be somebody, yes, he is capable, but having potential with a disgusting character (occasionally civil to his fellow men), doesn't make him successful.
Humans are all selfish, the difference is the extend to it. This one... is remarkably out of this world. A level of achievement that cannot be defined by any qualifications available.
Such attitudes are only seen in kids who try to grow up too soon.
- That is someone's assessment of yours truly. And for the first time in a long while, I'm sad.

Retail Therapy really is the best of therapy, for those who are heartbroken, troubled, deluded or whatever- Just. Go. Shopping.
It really helps!
Well, as usual, my life is one hella soap opera. The past couple of weeks have not been short of romantic get togethers, dramatic break ups, fall outs, stressful recording (I was Director) and even a chat with a major character in my life story! I guess what I told Moo about me finally being over her has been confirmed. It was a good thing that we got to speak yesterday, even if it was for a while, a few sentences, brief insights into each other's lives, it more than convinced me that it honestly is over! No longer did my heartbeat increase its pace, no longer did I bother to peep at her at the corner of my eye, no longer did I strain my ears to listen carefully to every syllable.
Things have changed. And I'm thankful.
I love suppers at 85 with the gang, Dy Hweech & James make super fun supper buddies. All the stupid games, nonsensical jokes, bad Mandarin (courtesy of Dy) and nice ba chor mee make for great fun!
Gotta work tonight, all the way till 1.30am. Oh boy, hope I don't meet nasty folks again, been having a few lately. I'm happy with my buys this week!
1) A pair of funky old school aviator shades
2) Special commerative New Urban Male ringer tee where the rings are of different colours!!
3) Havainas
4) Coyote Ugly DVD (Can't find Stepmom, damn!)
5) Abercrombie & Fitch pants
Take care everyone...
